Social Justice News is an independent, left-leaning news aggregator. It gathers reporting from the movement press and independent outlets, groups it by the issues that matter, and links each item back to the outlet that reported it.
The goal is simple: make it easy to follow the fights over immigration and ICE, labour, climate, housing, policing, human rights, and the other struggles that shape people’s lives — and to send readers to the journalists doing the original reporting.
What this is
This is a news aggregator with a point of view. Rather than trying to cover everything, it foregrounds reporting on social-justice movements and the people affected by them, and it organises that reporting so a reader can see an issue develop over time.
Alongside the aggregated feed, the site publishes some of its own short "Daily Brief" summaries and longer "Explainers" that put the day’s events in context. Trending blends two real signals rather than a single loud headline: genuine multi-outlet pickup of a story, and what people nationally are searching for right now on the issues this site covers, via Google Trends — the latter marked "Trending on Google" and linking straight to the publisher. National trends outside those issues (sport, celebrity, product launches) are left out; on a day when nothing trending touches them, that part of the block simply stays empty. Any image on such a link is the publisher’s own preview image, loaded directly from their site.
How aggregation works
Most items on the site link out to, excerpt, or summarise reporting published by other outlets. Headlines, thumbnails, and media may be loaded directly from the original publisher, who remains the source and rights-holder of that material. Every item credits and links its source so you can read the full report where it was published.

Editorial stance
This site takes a clearly left, social-justice editorial stance in what it chooses to cover and to foreground. We are open about that perspective rather than presenting it as a view from nowhere.
We still care about getting the facts right. Errors of fact are corrected promptly, and significant corrections are noted on the item, as described on our Corrections page.
Privacy and no tracking
The site runs on cookieless, privacy-first analytics, sets no tracking cookies, and keeps no reader accounts. It honours the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals, and your bookmarks live only in your own browser.
