Destructive hurricanes cause damage in California, Hawaii

In Hawaii, tens of thousands cleaned up and waited for their power to be restored in the aftermath of Hurricane Lowell. The storm killed at least one person. Along the Southern California coast, what's left of Hurricane Marie pummeled the shore with powerful surf, threatening beachfront homes.
