Mass protests roil Pakistan-controlled Azad Kashmir and the Islamabad-based political and military establishment

The immediate trigger for the current mass agitation was the state’s banning of the AJK Joint Awami (Common People’s) Action Committee under a draconian anti-terrorism law, and the arrest of more than a hundred of its leaders and activists.
